Michael Middleton was born in 1950 and studied at West Surrey College of Art and Design, Sheffield Polytechnic and Chelsea School of Art. He lives in Loughton and teaches in Colchester.
An Associate member of the Royal Society of Painters, Etchers and Engravers, he works in oils, watercolours and print. He takes most of his subject matter from his immediate surroundings.
Middleton's work has been shown in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, the National Museum of Wales, Epping Forest District Museum and Art Gallery.
