Anne Kilvington was born in Sunderland in 1944 and lives in London and on the north Norfolk coast. She studied at York School of Art and the Royal Academy School.
Anne paints in oils and watercolour and etches. She taught the latter subject at Putney School of Art.
She chooses to work in watercolour because she believes it is a more sympathetic and fluid medium for painting landscapes and gardens, which are her chief interest. Since leaving the Royal Academy Schools she has exhibited annually at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.
