About

Harlow Town Centre's shopping experience caters to a wide variety of needs and tastes.

Almost completely free of roads within the shopping areas, the Town Centre has the first ever pedestrian thoroughfare in the country - Broadwalk - which is the home of  W H Smith, Boots The Chemist, New Look, Costa Coffee, Monsoon and a range of banks, phone shops, and value outlets.

In addition, a variety of small and independent shops and cafes fill the numerous walkways linking Broadwalk with the Harvey Centre, the Watergardens and the Market Square areas.

With a fashion offer including Monsoon, Top Shop, River Island, Next, TK Maxx, Dorothy Perkins and Next alongside the major anchor stores of M&S, Primark and Asda plus numerous smaller independent fashion stores the town has a stylish choice for all.

Many examples of the town's public art collection can be found around the town centre including Elisabeth Frink's "Boar", Auguste Rodin's "Eve", Frederick Gibberd's Obelisk, and Henry Moore's Family Group.

Whilst the current Town Centre offer is already attracting an increased number of shoppers from surrounding areas, proposals to transform the Market Square and adjoining areas into a 21st century mixed use environment, with more major shops, leisure, residential and high quality public open space will turn Harlow into one of the most attractive sub-regional shopping destinations in the East of England.
