As part of the Gibberd Gallery's Summer Events Programme, Lee Grandjean talks about his practice and contemporary sculpture.
Grandjean, born 1949 in London, lived in Harlow from the age of twelve and was one of the first pupils at Burnt Mill School. He studied at Waltham Forest Technical College and at Winchester School of Art. His solo exhibitions include Blond Fine Art, London (1985) and Peterborough Museum and Gallery (1991). Group shows include Sculpture '93 at Chelsea Harbour. In 1998 he collaborated with poet Jeremy Hooker on a show entitled Groundwork at the Djanogly Gallery. Grandjean is currently senior sculpture Tutor at the Royal College of Art.
