Parndon Wood is situated on the southern outskirts of Harlow, on Parndon Wood Road.

Recorded as a woodland for at least 900 years, the reserve is a haven for flora, fungi, birds, minibeasts, small mammals and deer.  Visitors can follow the guided trail around the wood or simply enjoy the surroundings.  There are observation hides to sit quietly and watch for deer, or birds setting down by the ponds.

The wood offers a fully accessible conservation centre, a laboratory, informative displays and a reference library for those who wish to know more. During school holidays and at other times, activity sessions are run for children and young people.

This is a beautiful and peaceful place to wander whether on your own, with family or with friends.  With over 50 acres of beautiful oak and hornbeam woodland, come and explore the natural wildlife, make nest boxes and meet the rare species!
