Fairtrade Harlow
In 2008 the town campaigned for and won Fair Trade status.
This means the council, businesses and organisations across the town have made a commitment to supporting Fairtrade and using products with the FAIRTRADE Mark.
Community organisations, faith groups, businesses, schools and individuals can all contribute to making their area a Fairtrade Town by pledging to do what they can to support Fairtrade and promote the FAIRTRADE Mark.
Working towards and maintaining Fairtrade Town status brings together neighbours, groups, the local authority and businesses towards a common goal and a shared achievement….it is a great way of bringing people together and sends out a powerful message of how the community wants to trade.
